“Creating and developing collaboration networks”
The Chilean Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile will welcome the national and international chemical Engineering community to the joint the XXV Interamerican Congress of Chemical Engineering and the XVIII Chilean Congress of Chemical to be celebrated in Sheraton Hotel in Santiago de Chile, from 14 to 17 November, 2011. The major theme of this conference will be “Creating and developing collaboration networks”.
We will be very honored with the presence of Professor Harry Kroto, Nobel Prize in Chemistry 1996, who will be giving a plenary lecture in this conference. The Congress will be structured around invited sessions that will be managed by one or more chemical engineering departments of the continent. In these sessions, focused in specific topics, researchers from all over the continent will get together to show their work, exchange new ideas and create and develop collaboration networks. Undergraduate students looking for postgraduate studies will have the opportunity to meet leading researchers in Chemical Engineering.
The Organizing Committee, assisted by the Interamerican Confederation of Chemical Engineering (IACChE) which celebrates its 50th anniversary, is enthusiastically preparing this major event and encourages you to submit an abstract not later than the 15th of April 2011 for one of the following sessions:
| I. | Novel approaches to biomass utilization | |
| II. | Bioprocess and biochemical engineering | |
| III. | Social responsibility | |
| IV. | Drying and particulate systems | |
| V. | Nanostructured functional materials | |
| VI. | Mineral processing engineering | |
| VII. | Current trends in food engineering | |
| VIII. | Ionic liquids in process engineering | |
| iX. | General topics | |
| X. | Student poster session | |
| XI. | Industry-University-State cooperation |
We will be looking forward to welcoming the American chemical engineer community in Santiago in 2011. Best regards,
